Traveling from the West/Airport
– Get on M8
– Continue on M8 until exit M74
– Continue on Seaward Street
– Take Govan Road and The Clyde Arc to Congress Road
Travelling from the East/Edinburgh
– Get on M8
– Take exit 19 from M8
– Continue on A814 until you reach Congress Road
From the airport there is the Glasgow Airport Express which departs every 10 minutes from Glasgow Airport (Stance 1) to Buchanan Street Bus Station (Stance 46). This service operates 24/7 around flight times.

From Buchanan Street Bus Station proceed to George Sq South (10 minutes’ walk), for the Number 100 Bus, which will take you to the SECC Bus Stance (a 2 minute walk from the Crowne Plaza).
From the city centre to the Crowne Plaza there are the following buses;
– X19 (Cathedral Bridge Govan Road) From here cross the Bells Bridge and the Crowne Plaza will be on your left.
– 100 (Queen Street Conference Centre/Congress Road) From here the Crowne Plaza is a 2 minute walk straight ahead.
The Crowne Plaza is only a 15 minute taxi journey from either Glasgow Central Station or Glasgow Queen Street Station. A taxi from either Station to the Crowne Plaza will cost around £6.00.
Alternatively you can take a train from Glasgow Central Station to ‘Exhibition’ (the closest subway station to the Crowne Plaza). This train journey takes around 3 minutes and will cost £1.60 for a single ticket and £1.90 for a return ticket.
Exhibition Centre station is SECC’s own dedicated railway station allowing easy access from the city centre and the suburbs. Six trains an hour (around every 10 minutes) from Central Station (Platform 17 is on the lower level) will bring you to Exhibition Centre station in a journey time of just three minutes.
Scotrail offer the easiest, cheapest, quickest way to get to the SECC. Trains are around every 10 minutes.
From Queen Street Station to the Crowne Plaza is a 35 minute walk.

Taxis are available from in front of the terminal building. The journey will take around 20 minutes (traffic dependant) to the Crowne Plaza and costs between £20 and £26 depending on the time of day. We recommend you have cash available for the taxi. Some taxis will accept card, but to use this payment method will mean an additional 2% charge.
